For different reasons... At first i would be afraid that people would condemn me or that i would not tell it properly.. But I have since gotton over that one. Well sometimes it sneaks back up again. At the present moment i have been finding myself being nervous about people really understanding how much God has done in my life.

No matter how hard you try though no one will ever even begin to comprehend how much God has affected you personally becuase they have never gone through the life that you've had and had it changed like that... But everyone has their own and they are all unique and are all equally important to God.. A wise woman once said that "Jesus didn't show partialty and neither should we." JM Farro. God isn't partial to anyone.

It frustrates me when people tell me (mostly after hearing my testimony or others of a similar nature) that theirs is boring. I get so mad because everyone's testimony is amazing becuase it is the testiment of what God has done in your life and how He has worked in glorious ways! Everyone can learn from another's story.. THose who did not grow up as a Christian have something to learn about and are interested in hearing about the story of a person who grew up in a Christian home with godly parents. Don't ever feel like your testimony is boring just becuase you didn't do drugs and almost die! You still had an encounter with the same amazingly mighty God. Just in a different way.
The thing i love about telling my story is that it reminds me of how much GOd has brought me through. It forces me to look back and examine how my life was before CHrist. ANd helps me to remember how I felt when i first came to know Him. Although i always feel nervous beforehand and hesitate. I never regret telling my story afterwards and always end up feeling closer to the Lord once im done telling it. It's nice to know also that people are somehow blessed when they learn about your screw ups.. It lets you know that good can come from the bad that you have done.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Delight Yourself in the Lord...

And He will give you the desires of your heart. - psalm 37:4

Never has this verse been more true to me.
Ok so I have been wanting to go to the Zoo and Black Creek Pioneer Village ALL SUMMER long but could not go because no one would want to go with me or as is the case now.. i have no money:(

A couple of weeks ago my roomate Kim told us that she was moving her wedding up to Oct 14 and that she would be having it at Black Creek Pioneer Village!!!! and that after the wedding the guests of the wedding could do whatever they wanted in the village for free! So i was pretty happy about that.

Last week i found out that the agency I work at for my college field placement is having an outing to the ZOO this friday! I was just in awe of this alone!

Until. . . So i have been really into Skillet lately (please dont make fun! they are awesome!) and noticed that they are going to be at Acquire the Fire near the end of October.. i really wanted to go but then i was like oh well its in Hamilton and is a sleep over youth event and probably cost like a hundred dollars.. So i really wanted to go but it was doubtful if i could make it.. BUT now it just so happens that the youth group im helping out at (Wesley Chaple Free Methodist) is going!!!!!!!!!!!! SO NOW I GET TO GO SEE SKILLET AND IM SO EXCITED BECUASE I LOVE THEM AND CANT WAIT TO HEAR MORE OF THE NEW SONGS OFF THEIR ALBUM.

These may seem like shallow desires.. but how else could i explain all of these random things that i wanted just dropping at my feet. It has to be the Lord working in my life. And i will not hold back the glory that is HIS!

I have been reading Max Lucado's Grace for the Moment 2 for my devotions and am really enjoying it. I found the following entry to be exceptionally awesome so I just thought that I might share it with you all.

God's Poetry
We are his workmanship - Eph 2:10
Scripture calls the Church a poem. Workmanship in the Greek is "poeo" or poetry.
We are God's poetry. Poetry demands variety.

"God works through different men in different ways, but it is the same God who achieves them all" (1 Cor 12:6 Phillips).

God uses all types to type his message. Logical thinkers. Emotional worshippers. Dynamic leaders. Docile followers. The visionaries who lead. The studious who ponder. The generous who pay the bills...

Alone we are meaningless symbols on a page. But collectively we inspire.

So often we can feel as though we are unimportant in the work for God's Kingdom. I often need to be reminded that not everyone can lead. Sometimes I think that it is a blessing that I am not the constant focal point. Just because you cannot think up amazing ideas to put into a commentary doesn't mean that you do not have an equal part in the work for Christ. God is not partial and we shouldn't be either (Deut 10:7). People who pray out loud super spiritual eloquent prayers are the same as those who stutter short and seemingly untheological prayers. If their heart is totally and wholly devoted to God then that person's prayer is welcome to to Lord. "The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart" (1 Sam 16:7). He knows how sincere our prayers are...

We all have a talent or gift to use in accomplishing God's purposes. In contributing these gifts the Church is able to function. It takes more than just the pastor and leadership to run a church but the whole congregation needs to get involved. Find out how you can contribute in the construction of God's Kingdom and you will begin to see Him work in AMAZING ways. . All of a sudden your seemingly boring life will be filled with splendid surprises. This may sound cliche but I don't care because I personally know it to be true. Not only in my own life but I have seen it happen in the lives of others.
